Meriwether Godsey began as a catering business in 1980, and our years of experience have prepared us for any logical challenge. Creative menuing, thorough planning, culinary flair, fresh ingredients - they all come together to produce memorable events.
Catering has remained a focus not just because we feel like every meal should be approached like a catered event (in its own way), but because catering is a great way to showcase our clients.

We cater hundreds of functions each year for individuals, corporations, non-profits, and partners. Ranging from luncheons and cookouts to elaborate wedding receptions and black-tie dinners, our signature touches grace every function. From 10 to 3000, indoors or out, in kitchens large or small (or no kitchen at all!), we provide worry-free service and fabulous food.

We work with each of our communities to assure that we are the best provider of these services (versus hiring out) and also the best value. We also do extensive private catering in our geographic pockets (for example: Richmond, DC, Central Virginia, Greensboro and Durham).

Over the years, we have been privileged to serve presidents, cabinet members, governors, senators, Supreme Court justices, heads of state, foreign dignitaries, authors, entertainers, and sports personalities. Among organizations we've catered for are BB&T, Frito Lay, Philip Morris, Altria, Scott Insurance, Wachovia Bank, Centra Health Foundation, Susan G.
