Meriwether Godsey began as a catering company over 25 years ago, and we still love this area of our business. As a company of “foodies” catering allows us to offer broad services - from the most exotic concepts to basic fare, our goal is to always be stylish. Food is as trendy as fashion. Richmond's Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is a glorious setting for any event. Meriwether Godsey provides dining, catering, and event-planning services for the Garden, making each occasion memorable. Weddings are a Garden specialty. While in Virginia’s Capitol city, you may also want to visit Capitol Square and taste a little Meriwether's. In the new Capitol Extension our café (804-698-7438) is open to the public, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Guests can dine in or use Meriwether's take-out service. Meriwether's also operates a cafeteria in the General Assembly Building on the 6th floor, open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. The cafeteria offers hot meals, as well as sandwiches and beverages. A sandwich express window is open during the General Assembly Session each year.
